Our Earls Gate Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility has marked its first full year of operations with strong, consistent performance. Over the past 12 months, the plant has processed more than 170,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste, diverting it from landfill and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In doing so, Earls Gate has generated 134GWh of electricity, providing a steady supply of low-carbon energy to support both local industry and thousands of homes. The facility has also delivered a reliable source of steam to meet the ongoing needs of neighbouring chemical manufacturing and pharmaceutical businesses.
This first year has seen the site operate to a high standard of environmental compliance and reliability, underpinned by a focused operational team and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and long-term performance.
As we move into the next phase, the groundwork is firmly in place to build on this success and continue delivering value to the region.
