Brockwell has acquired London-based renewable energy developer RNA-Energy Ltd, strengthening our position in the UK’s energy transition and expanding our growing project pipeline.

The deal was completed on 13 March 2024, with Brockwell committing to fund the continued development and build-out of RNA’s portfolio as part of our long-term growth strategy. The acquisition forms a key part of our ambition to develop and build 5GW of installed renewable generation capacity by 2030.

The move brings not only a strong pipeline of solar and BESS projects but also deep sector knowledge and expertise from the RNA team. Their skills and insight will play an important role in accelerating Brockwell’s next phase of growth.

Paul Newman, Chief Commercial Officer at Brockwell, who will also take on the Managing Director role at RNA under a Master Services Agreement (MSA), said:

I’ve worked closely with the RNA team as the deal progressed and believe this will be a transformational step in the growth and development of Brockwell. It’s a great cultural and strategic fit.

Roger Ammoun, Founder of RNA-Energy, added:

We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved. With Brockwell’s support and strong institutional backing, we’re confident the platform will continue to grow and deliver at scale.

Neil Young, COO of Brockwell, commented:

We’re focused on building best-in-class platforms that drive the UK’s energy transition. This acquisition is a major milestone and reinforces our role in delivering the country’s net zero ambitions.
