Brockwell Energy is proud to announce that North Kyle Wind Farm has been named as a finalist in the Scottish Green Energy Awards 2025, shortlisted in both the Sustainable Development Award and Outstanding Project Award categories.
Organised by Scottish Renewables, the awards celebrate the people, organisations and projects driving Scotland’s transition to a cleaner, greener energy future. To be shortlisted for two categories is a significant achievement and recognition of the scale, ambition and collaboration behind North Kyle - one of Scotland’s largest onshore wind developments.
Located in East Ayrshire, the 220 MW North Kyle Wind Farm represents much more than a renewable energy project. It is a flagship example of how clean energy investment can deliver long-term environmental, economic and social value. The project will provide substantial community benefit funding, create opportunities for local employment and skills development, and support the ongoing regeneration of a former coalfield area.
Richard Buckland, North Kyle’s Project Manager, commented:
“We’re thrilled that North Kyle has been recognised by Scottish Renewables in two award categories. The project demonstrates how renewable energy can drive sustainable development, combining commercial viability with meaningful community impact. This nomination is testament to the hard work, innovation and commitment of everyone involved.”
The Scottish Green Energy Awards ceremony will take place later this year, bringing together key figures from across the renewable energy industry to celebrate excellence and innovation across the sector.
Brockwell Energy extends its congratulations to all other finalists and looks forward to celebrating the collective achievements of Scotland’s thriving green energy community.
