Site Visit Showcases Progress at North Kyle Wind Farm

North Kyle 1min to read
Earlier last month, Brockwell had the pleasure of hosting our investors, Pioneer Point Partners and Davidson Kempner on a guided site tour around North Kyle Wind Farm in East Ayrshire.

The visit offered investors a first-hand look at the transformation of a former coal mining landscape into one of Scotland’s largest onshore wind developments.

All 220MW / 49 turbines are now fully installed and commissioned, with full energisation to the New Cumnock GSP due within December. During the “drive round,” guests observed the extensive civil works, electrical infrastructure, and restoration works that have been delivered across the 2000-hectare site. The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss North Kyle’s long-term community and environmental benefits, including £65 million in community funding to be delivered over the project’s 40-year lifetime and substantial investment in habitat restoration and native woodland planting.

Benedetta Zangari, Davidson Kempner noted:

The site tour demonstrates the positive result of close collaboration between Brockwell, its delivery partners and investors and how essential energy infrastructure can be developed at scale to support the UKs ambitious renewable targets

We thank Pioneer Point Partners and Davidson Kempner for joining us on site and for their ongoing support as we continue to drive the business forward.
