The North Kyle Energy Storage project is strategically located next to the North Kyle Wind Farm and in close proximity to the North Kyle Substation. The project will deliver 200 megawatt hours of storage capacity, providing enough electricity to power approximately 220,000 homes for two hours. By storing surplus energy when demand is low and supplying it back to the grid during peak periods, the battery system will play a key role in meeting sustainability targets and supporting a cleaner, more resilient energy system.
