Reporting to: Head of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects
The role
We are looking for an experienced DCO Project Manager to join our Development team and lead one of our renewable energy projects through the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) consenting process, from pre application through examination to post consent. You will manage project teams, programme and stakeholder relationships to secure consent on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all stages of the DCO process for your assigned project, from pre application through examination to post consent
- Lead project consenting strategies, programmes and risk registers
- Commission, direct and quality assure outputs from external consultants across all technical disciplines
- Lead project level stakeholder engagement with the Planning Inspectorate, local authorities, statutory consultees and community groups
- Oversee stakeholder engagement processes, ensuring compliance and effective community engagement
- Work closely with internal land, grid, engineering, legal and commercial teams on key project outputs and requirements
- Manage project budgets and report on programme, spend and risk
- Review and approve documentation prior to submission
About you
- 5+ years' experience in infrastructure project development, in project management, planning/consenting, stakeholder engagement, environmental impact assessment or land assembly
- Strong external stakeholder engagement and community engagement skills
- Strong project management skills, including programme, budget and risk management
- A good understanding of the NSIP planning regime
- Experience with solar, BESS or grid infrastructure projects is desirable
